Rental
& Checkout Requirements
DA-42
Rental: To fly Sawyer Aviation's DA-42 solo, (without a Sawyer
Aviation instructor on board), pilots must have the following:*

200hrs total flight time
-
25hrs
multi-time in any multi-engine aircraft
-
10 of
the minimum 25 multi-engine hours must be in a DA-42 ~OR~ have
10hrs of DA-42 time dual (with a Sawyer Aviation instructor)
-
*Lesser checkout times may apply to ATP, CFI, or type-rated
pilots. Eligibility is assessed solely at Sawyer Aviation's
discretion
-
*Rental minimums do not apply if a Sawyer Aviation (MEI)
instructor is on board.

Overnight/Multi-day rental/time-building flights are allowed by
Sawyer Aviation.

Completion of Sawyer Aviation's
DA-42 ground school (6-8hrs
one-on-one with Sawyer MEI) or $249 for scheduled class time, call
for all times).
You can obtain the following ratings in the DA-42 Diamond Twin Star:
Multi-Engine Private (single-engine private-pilot license required),
Commercial, Instrument, ATP, CFI (Multi-Engine)/MEI, CFII
(Multi-Engine).
