Additional Ratings >> Commercial Pilot
No matter what their "other" profession is in life, all
pilots dream about what it would be like to take off and land a
Boeing 747. Or do an instrument approach in a Boeing 777 into the
Rio de Janeiro airport. Every airline pilot will tell you that there
is nothing in the world like doing what you love and getting paid
very well to do it. So if you want a job that pays well, has great
benefits, has lots of responsibility, and is so much fun you almost
feel guilty come payday, then Sawyer Aviation is the right place for
you. With over 6000 graduates from our pilot programs, we know what
it takes to get you to your dreams.
Program: You may work towards your Commercial Pilot License even
if you have no previous aviation experience. In this case you would
first get your PPL and IFR. After completing these courses you would
be ready to pursue the Commercial Pilot License Course. If you are
already a pilot, every logged flight hour will count towards the 250
hours of total flight time required to receive a CPL. In addition to
the flight time requirement you must be at least 18 years old to
obtain your CPL. The average time to take a full time student from
zero aviation experience to the CPL is 3-4 months. If you already
have your PPL or IFR the time could be as little as 1-2 weeks
depending on ratings held and your total flight time.
Privileges and Limitations: With your newly acquired CPL, you can
fly almost any single-engine airplane and best of all you can get
paid to do it.
